Our company is currently seeking a qualified individual of strong character to join our growing team! The Opportunity: The Staff Accountant is an integral part of the Company. This position reports directly to the Company Controller and works as part of the whole team committed to overall customer satisfaction and the profitable growth of the company. What We Value : One Team Service Heart Dedication Entrepreneurial Spirit Achievement Integrity Vision Your Day to Day : Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes. Maintaining documentation for accounting processes. Meeting processing and reporting deadlines. Working with other members of the accounting department to compile, analyze and report financial data. Perform general account analysis and account reconciliations. Accounts receivable and accounts payable. Ensuring that company bills are paid and debts are collected. Prepare documents for audits. Work to improve financial processes. Assisting the Controller as needed with special projects. Process signed commercial, residential, snow, design and build, fertilization, etc. contracts received by company. Contact clients to collect required down payments and retainer payments for contracted work. Create contracts in CRM software that correspond to scheduled jobs and align billing terms to invoice properly. Schedule one-time and reoccurring jobs in CRM software and notify department managers of approval to begin work. Prepare project binders and necessary KPI forms for department manager and/or project managers to track budgets, expenses, and project timeline. Analyze daily work orders versus budgeted materials, labor, and expenses to determine profitability and efficiencies of teams and/or department. Facilitate contracts terms, obtain compliance paperwork, document services rendered, and manage payment confirmation. Account reconciliation on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Aid customer service representatives in assisting existing clients with a focus in satisfaction and retention. Generate invoices against contracts processed. Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills) : A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and/or five years experience in a similar administrative position (preferred) 2-3 years of experience using QuickBooks (preferred) Prior experience working in the finance, banking, automotive and/or legal industry. General computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. The ability to effectively multitask. Ability to self-initiate and work independently. Adept at working in a fast-paced environment. Above average organizational skills and high attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and interpret data. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
