Job Description Description Thriving outpatient clinic in need
of clinical specialist to see orthopedic patients as well as pelvic
health caseload. This location is onsite with a busy orthopedic
physician practice /n /n A Brief Overview /n Organizes and conducts
Physical Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of people
with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities. The Clinical
Specialist directs the patient's participation in selected
activities/treatments to restore, re-enforce and correct pathology
to promote and/or maintain good health. /n What You Will Do /n /n -
Performs evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan
appropriate to a patient’s rehabilitation needs within the care
continuum. /n - Performs effective treatment techniques in a
competent manner. /n - Educates patient/family/caregiver in
applicable health information, treatment and prevention. /n -
Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process. /n -
Performs other department activities such as, but not limited to
documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc. /n -
Assist with administrative/management activities such as process
improvement initiatives or projects /n - Serves as a role model to
staff, is a formal/informal leader /n /n Additional
Responsibilities /n /n - Performs other duties as assigned. /n -
Complies with all policies and standards. /n - For specific duties
and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the
department during orientation. /n - Must abide by all requirements
to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI)
for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH
policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of
PHI in the workplace. /n Qualifications Education /n /n - Graduate
of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Required) /n /n Work
Experience /n /n - 5 years experience as a Physical Therapist or at
the discretion of Rehab Director (Required) /n - Pelvic Floor
experience strongly preferred /n /n Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
/n /n - Demonstrates advanced level of clinical expertise and/or
certification (Required proficiency) /n - Evaluation and treatment
skills necessary to provide Physical Therapy appropriate to the
developmental and chronological age of patients on caseload.
(Required proficiency) /n - Professional initiative, objectivity,
good time management and interpersonal skills. (Required
proficiency) /n - Physically, cognitively and perceptually able to
provide patient treatment and able to assist in physical mobility
of patients and equipment. (Required proficiency) /n /n Licenses
and Certifications /n /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required
within 90 Days) /n - Licensed Physical Therapist, Ohio and/or Multi
State Compact license (Required) /n /n Physical Demands /n /n -
