Cleveland Clinic’s G91 Pulmonary Stepdown Unit is a 32-bed, fast-paced, and high-acuity unit specializing in the care of patients with acute pulmonary conditions — including pulmonary embolisms, tracheostomies, and ventilator support. We’re seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) who is passionate about mentorship, teamwork, and clinical excellence. A caregiver in this role works nights, 7:00pm - 7:30am. Every other Saturday or Sunday and every other holiday. A caregiver who excels in this role will: - Provide clinical supervision and coordinate unit clinical operations under the direction of the Nurse Manager. - Supervise and participate in delivering patient care, ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts, and coordinate patient admitting, discharges and transfers. - Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions, monitor attendance issues and review major operational patient care issues with the Nurse Manager. - Interview, select and orient new caregivers. - Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts. - Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives. - Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing - Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) - Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross - *If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment - Two years of recent clinical nursing experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $37.50 Maximum hourly: $57.60 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
