About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Psychiatric Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience
required License: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of
Nursing Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred
Must-Have: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate
effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of
professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate
with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Description:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality
compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides,
delegates, supervises, and documents care and teaching of patients
and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family
information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding
solutions for variances from patient goals. Ensures implementation
of solutions. Schedule includes three shifts per week, each lasting
12 hours. Training will be provided in de-escalation techniques.
Cross-training in psychiatric assessment services will also be
