100, Utica, MI. Your Impact in the Operating Room As an integral
member of our elite surgical team, you will ensure a seamless
experience for our surgeons and patients: Precision Preparation:
Assemble supplies, open sterile fields, and set up instruments
tailored to specific surgical procedures. Intra-Operative
Excellence: Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures
and apply strict principles of asepsis to ensure patient safety.
Instrument Stewardship: Oversee decontaminating and sterilizing
equipment, ensuring all tools are cleaned and ready for a busy
caseload. Safety First: Maintain clinical competencies, respond to
emergencies with a calm demeanor, and adhere to all HIPAA and
safety protocols. Who We Are Looking For Certification: Surgical
Technologist Certification (CST) is REQUIRED. BLS: Current BLS
Certification required. Experience: Minimum of 6 months of surgical

Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the surgical team
and provides quality care to our patients. Care is rendered by
providing and controlling the sterile instruments, supplies, and
equipment required during surgical intervention. The technologist
ensures that the instruments and supplies are cleaned, sterilized,
and available when needed. Requirements: ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES Responsibilities include but are not limited
to: Assembles supplies and equipment for surgical procedures. Opens
sterile supplies and prepares for operative procedures. Sets up
table, instruments and supplies according to the type of surgical
procedure. Applies principles of asepsis. Demonstrates knowledge of
sterilization and disinfection techniques. Assists and anticipates
the needs of the surgeon during procedure. Works within established
scope of practice. Utilizes universal precautions when providing
patient care. Decontaminates all equipment, instruments, and
supplies according to procedures. Identifies and responds
appropriately to emergency situations. Assists with cleaning and
maintenance of rooms, equipment, and furniture. Assists with
inventory of supplies and equipment. Supports and adheres to all
company and Surgery Center policies and procedures, Codes of
Conduct, Ethics, Compliance, and HIPAA requirements. Participates
in Best Practices, Quality/Risk Initiatives and other committees to
improve patient care. Keeps management informed of any malfunctions
in instruments, equipment and supplies. Performs other position
related duties as assigned. Employees shall adhere to high
standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in
complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will
include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of
Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and
procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected
health information in compliance with the Health Insurance
Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting
any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the
Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual
Compliance Training. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY
REQUIREMENTS Surgical Technologist certification required Current
BLS Certification required. KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

perform intra-operative care. Maintains accountability for customer
satisfaction. Seeks guidance, direction and assistance when needed.

safety. Ability to establish and maintain professional working

interactions with emotional patients and/or family members.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 6 months of surgical experience.
