Caregivers in the Q5 Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) provide care to some of the most critically ill cardiovascular surgical patients in the country, such as patients receiving coronary artery bypass surgery, valve repair and replacements, aortic surgeries, and minimally invasive cardiac surgeries, as well as patients that have undergone new and innovative robotic cardiac surgeries. A caregiver in this position works days from 11:00AM – 11:30PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: - Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established healthcare organization policies, procedures, and protocols. - Implement and monitor patient care plans. - Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. - Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. - Assess and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. - Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing - Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within first year of employment - One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting - Will consider licensed military RN experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
