Job Description:
Position Overview Neighborhood Health Association is seeking a
dynamic and strategic Director of Clinical Support Services to join
our leadership team. This senior leadership role plays a critical
part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered
care while advancing operational excellence across our health
centers. Working in close partnership with the Chief Medical
Officer (CMO), the Director translates strategic initiatives into
operational execution. The role focuses on improving productivity,
strengthening patient satisfaction, ensuring clinical staff
competency, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the
continued growth of clinical services. The ideal candidate is a
collaborative healthcare leader with strong experience in primary
care operations, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and
team leadership. Key Responsibilities Clinical Operations
Leadership Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight
for health center clinical operations to ensure productivity goals,
efficiency, and high patient satisfaction. Supervise the Manager of
Clinical Support Services and other direct reports, supporting
effective leadership of clinical and support staff. Partner in
recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of clinical and
patient-facing team members. Ensure all staff are properly
credentialed, trained, and operating within their scope of
practice. Lead ongoing staff training and competency validation to
maintain a skilled and compliant workforce. Promote a culture of
professionalism, accountability, confidentiality, and continuous
improvement. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Improvement Ensure
compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
including Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), The Joint
Commission (TJC), infection control, and other regulatory
requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies
and procedures to support quality care and operational consistency.
Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes,
workflow optimization, and operational efficiency. Oversee
compliance with Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting requirements
and federal health program reporting. Monitor and support quality
monitoring activities including infection control processes,
incident reporting, and patient complaint tracking. Strategic
Planning & Program Growth Serve as the operational partner to the
Chief Medical Officer, helping translate strategic priorities into
measurable operational plans. Develop and implement strategies to
increase patient access, expand services, and enhance patient
satisfaction. Identify opportunities for new programs or service
delivery models such as: Telehealth services School-based health
clinics Community partnerships Collaborate with leadership to align
clinical operations with the organization’s mission and community
health needs. Budget & Resource Management Develop and manage
clinical operational budgets while ensuring responsible stewardship
of resources. Monitor expenditures for medical supplies, durable
medical equipment (DME), and related clinical resources. Ensure
clinics maintain appropriate supplies and functional equipment to
support patient care. Identify and pursue funding opportunities for
clinical equipment or program expansion. Community Engagement
Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and
outreach initiatives as directed by leadership. Build partnerships
with community organizations, schools, and local stakeholders to
improve access to care. Support outreach initiatives that increase
patient engagement and awareness of services. Data, Reporting &
Organizational Performance Oversee clinical data collection and
reporting to support regulatory compliance, grant requirements, and
funding audits. Review clinical and operational performance data to
identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in the
organization’s Quality Committee, contributing insights and
recommendations. Present operational findings and improvement
strategies to senior leadership including the CMO and CEO. Staff
Development & Leadership Ensure clinical staff complete required
competencies and maintain adherence to organizational policies.
Provide coaching, supervision, and performance feedback to direct
reports. Support corrective action processes when standards are not
met. Communicate organizational goals, priorities, and expectations
clearly to staff. Minimum Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN)
from an accredited school of nursing Active Ohio RN License
(Required) 4 years of healthcare leadership or clinical supervision
experience (Required) Experience in a primary care clinical setting
(Required) Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards including
PCMH, TJC, NCQA, UDS, HEDIS, CPC, and infection control Preferred
Qualifications: Experience in community health, FQHC, or public
health settings Experience in staff development and program
implementation At least 3 years of community health nursing
experience Experience leading quality improvement and regulatory
compliance initiatives Key Competencies: Strategic leadership and

development Full-time, exempt salary position. Monday through
