Your main task will entail short-haul deliveries across various destinations, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods. Operate a tractor-trailer or truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Complete local deliveries per the dispatch instructions while adhering to all safety regulations and standards. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe and working order. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and travel activities in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics staff to update on trip status and coordinate deliveries. Handle unexpected incidents or delays effectively and report any issues to the management promptly. Strong driving skills Understanding of transportation and safety laws Good communication and organizational skills Ability to operate electronic logistics management tools Physical fitness and ability to handle physical workloads Medical Insurance Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) Clean driving record DOT medical card
