This role focuses on providing support primarily to middle and high school students within a residential facility serving male youth who are victims or offenders of sexual violence. The position requires onsite presence and cannot be performed virtually, emphasizing direct engagement with this specialized population. Key responsibilities include: - Delivering comprehensive social work services to K-12 students, with an emphasis on middle and high school age groups. - Supporting male youth in a residential setting by addressing complex emotional and behavioral needs related to trauma and violence. - Collaborating with educational and clinical teams to develop and implement individualized support plans. - Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress. - Participating in ongoing supervision and professional development as provided by the district. Qualifications: - Licensed Social Worker in the state of Michigan (a valid MI license must be verifiable through official state databases). - Experience working with youth in residential facilities or similar environments, preferably with a background in trauma-related cases. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support and advocate for students. - Ability to work full time, 35 hours per week, onsite in Pontiac, MI. - Preference given to candidates whose experience aligns closely with the needs of this population, including male or female candidates comfortable working in this sensitive setting.
